A Taste of Purity - The Reinheitsgebot and You

Obviously, we like wine. But we like beer, too. That’s why we’re holding our next beer edition of The $25 Wine Class! On Wednesday, January 18, Bartender/Renaissance man Greg Babel will conduct a class on wine's ever-so-slightly “uncouth” cousin, beer—or, “God's nectar itself” (Greg’s words). More specifically, this class will cover German beer in three of its many manifestations. During this hour-long class, you’ll sip on tasty brew and have nice conversation with your classmates while Greg pronounces silly long German words. "Why should I care?" you may be thinking. Well, beer is delicious, especially German beer, and you’ll get to drink it! It’s simple, really. After this class you will be able to*: define reinheitsgebot, confidently discuss the basics of brewing, solve complex differential equations, understand how slightly changing one microscopic organism can radically alter how beer tastes, and walk home with a mild buzz. Space is limited, so make sure to buy your tickets ASAP. That means now, people.
