The Designer and The Designed May 12, 2007

Two very distinct voices will be heard at this reading/book signing event: Akiko Busch will read from her acclaimed book, The Uncommon Life of Common Objects, a personal analysis of the products we live with every day, published by Metropolis Books.

Co-authors Kira Gould and Lance Hosey (both from William McDonough + Partners) will read from their new book, Women in Green: Voices of Sustainable Design, quoting the women instrumental in creating sustainable design as we know it. Susan S. Szenasy, Metropolis's editor in chief, advisor on Busch's book and one of the voices in Gould/Hosey's book will engage the authors in conversation.
