Kate Burton reprises her Tony-nominated role as "The Constant Wife" when L.A. Theatre Works records W. Somerset Maugham's comedy for broadcast on public radio. Joining Burton on stage will be Stephen Collins (7th Heaven), John de Lancie (Star Trek: TNG), Kathryn Meisle (who also appeared in the Broadway revival) and Christina Pickles (Friends, St. Elsewhere). There's something Constance Middleton's friends are dying to tell her: her husband is having an affair - with her best friend! In this biting comedy of manners, marriages and mistresses, Constance - a not-so-desperate housewife - has some ideas of her own about extra-marital activity that surprise everyone in the end. All performances will be recorded for broadcast on L.A. Theatre Works' nationally syndicated radio theater series, which airs locally in Southern California on KPCC 89.3 every Saturday from 10 pm - midnight and can be streamed on demand at www.latw.org. April 14-18; Skirball Cultural Center, 2701 N. Sepulveda Blvd., Brentwood CA 90049; $20-$48; 310.827.0889; www.latw.org
