Rachel's has inspired numerous attempts to describe the band, resulting in phrases like "the foremost purveyors of forlorn and lamentatious orchestral arrangements in the indie world." More accurately, Rachels is a collective of friends who share the desire to explore ideas together without manifestos or genre biases. Rachels has toured North America and Europe, appearing in libraries, churches, rock dungeons, ballrooms, bowling alleys and movie theaters.

At once familiar and alien, comical and disquieting, soothing and overwrought, Clogss music walks a fine line between radiance and darkness that is rarely achieved outside Hindu culture. Clogss unique blending of rock improvisation with romantic lyricism, modernist and folk elements has allowed the band to create a personal musical vernacular, a discrete concept that transcends category.

Artists: Bryce Dessner, guitar; Rachael Elliott, bassoon;Thomas Kozumplik, percussion; Padma Newsome, violin/viola
