The Washington Revels’ 24th annual holiday production of “The Christmas Revels” will combine old Revels favorites with new material based on early American music, dance, and stories drawn from Appalachian, Shaker, African-American, Moravian, and Native American traditions. The large Revels cast of children, teens, and adults, brass musicians, and dancers will be joined by Peter and Mary Alice Amidon, leading the Revels company in traditional American song and dance; DovieThomason, Native American storyteller; and, local musicians Steve Hickman, fiddler, John Devine, singer and guitarist, and Charlie Pilzer, bassist. Come jump for joy, sing and dance the new year in, and revel in the old traditions!
