PREMIERING: THE CHELSEA MANIFESTO hosted by Chris Lee, in three parts: April 17th, May 1st, & May 15th

The Chelsea Manifesto is a three part discussion series about major trends and ideas in contemporary art and culture. Inspired by the current state of the London and New York art scene- from which the title is derived, it is a mock "manifesto" of the modern
revolutionary aesthete.

April 17th: Part I: "Dada to Prada" - establishes the argument that a certain contemporary relationship to the art spirit had it's beginnings in the subversive and radical critiques of Marcel Duchamp, Tristan Tzara and other European artists and poets reacting to the perceived absurdities of bourgeois society and the First World War. From there we follow the arc of that movement to todays alignment in the visual arts w/the worlds of fashion, advertising and Absolut Vodka.
