The Boston Landmarks Orchestra will celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the birth of poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882), at the Longfellow Bicentennial Birthday Tribute. The Boston Landmarks Orchestra, conducted by Charles Ansbacher, will offer a stirring performance of “The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere” by Julian Wachner, narrated by David Connor, and the final movement of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 9 with Ya-Fei Chuang as guest soloist. In addition, Matthew Pearl, author of the bestselling novel “The Dante Club” will give a tribute to Longfellow; the Haggerty School Chorus will sing Longfellow’s poem “Snowflakes” composed by Lauren Bernofsky; and baritone Brett Johnson will perform “A Psalm of Life.” This event is free and family friendly.
