From the quiet postindustrial hamlet of North Adams, Massachusetts, the band has made its mark with The Lemon of Pink and Thought for Food. The CDs feature glitchy sampledelic rhythms undercut by bluegrass or country that devolve into ambient evocations of inner worlds previously unimagined. This rare tour follows the Books' next CD release and a special side project remixed by Prefuse 73. Onstage the band's audio sample archive is augmented by projected videos, smoke ring machines, a filing cabinet used as a rhythm section, plus cello, guitar, mandolin, a clavinet, and whatever else sounds right.

Please note: this is a SRO show.

(make sure you come in on time, since this venue always starts the show on time, often without opening acts)
