Southbank Centre, Belvedere Road
London, England

Jazzy off-shoot of British trip-hop legends Portishead, this quartet led by Jim Barr (bass) and Clive Deamer (drums) don their jazz hats and get down to some serious improvisation. With the release of their much-anticipated debut album, All is Yes (Candid) in early 2008, the group are arguably producing some of the edgiest and freshest jazz-rock tracks to date. Also featuring Pete Judge (trumpet) and Jake McMurchie (saxophone).

'If the term "jazz-rock" could be stricken from history and applied with virginal use to The Blessing, it could be pulled from the mud and proclaimed the future. Shed of self-indulgence yet given fully to self-expression... we can add the word "awesome" to those whose meaning tonight becomes restored' (Venue).

Admission Free.
