The Big Sip Beverage Expo December 8, 2012

The First Annual Big Sip Expo will be held at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex’s Pavilion on Saturday, December 8. The Expo will showcase local, regional and national beverages, including beer, wine, spirits, coffee, soda and homebrews.

Consumers will have the opportunity to sample the finest beverages available and participate in “The Big Sip Cup” competition among all beverage manufacturers, coffee houses and home brewers. Detailed information about The Big Sip Cup and The Big Sip Expo can be found at www.bigsipcup.com.

The Connoisseur Expo, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., will feature homebrew and coffee demos. From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m, the General Public Expo will feature live music and retail opportunities. Ticket prices for both events include a sponsor coupon booklet, commemorative tasting glass and expo program including “tasting notes” for each manufacturer in attendance.

Proceeds from The Big Sip will benefit The North Carolina Brewers Guild and Be the Miracle Network, a Greensboro-based, community-oriented, non-profit organization that assists youth by supporting Duke Children’s Hospital and Ronald McDonald House food drives. Be the Miracle also helps under-served populations by working closely with the homeless in Greensboro, providing food, clothing and hygiene kits.
