The Bad Plus January 8, 2009

The Bad Plus will play two sets each night, January 7-10. Set times are 8:30 and 10:15 p.m.

Favoring group improvisation over individual solos, The Bad Plus rip into each set with a combination of Swiss-watch precision, and a spectrum of dynamics and reckless abandon. Their trademark of complementing original repertoire with their takes on mainstream pop "standards" includes music from ABBA, Black Sabbath, the Bee Gees, Queen, Blondie, Aphex Twin, Neil Young, and Bjork. The Bad Plus continue their New Year tradition at the Bistro!
