55 Water Street
New York City, New York

Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine star in this comedy about a struggling clerk in a huge New York insurance company. He's discovered a quick way to climb the corporate ladder - by lending out his apartment to the executives as a place to take their mistresses. He often has to deal with the aftermath of their visits and one night he's left with a major problem to solve. Preceding the feature will be a conversation with filmmaker Lili White and screening of her short 'NY' (10 minute excerpt, 2005), a digital montage that's part home-movie, part city-symphony reflecting what New York stands for: America's cradle of immigration; the site of the 9/11 disaster; the platform of a genuine international city. The film features three immigrant artists Mara Wave, John Spinks and Kim Su Theiler.
