The Alcuin Society’s Annual Book Auction November 18, 2006

Event opens at 11am, lunch is served at noon, and the annual book auction is to follow after lunch.

Following a viewing of the books, a tasty lunch and delightful conversation, the Society will auction off the books submitted to the 2005 Book Design Competition. This is a great opportunity to pick up some real book bargains that may be given away for Christmas presents or if you fall into a less altruistic category it is a very good time just to indulge yourself and to exercise your personal bibliomaniacal tendencies.

COST: There is a cost for the lunch but if you just want to focus on the book auction you are welcome to come along after lunch solely for the auction (although it must be said you will miss a delicious meal and even more delicious conversation taking that option!)
