Headlined by the Bay Area's own Laurie Lewis-a two time Grammy winner and longtime leading light of modern bluegrass-and her band, the concert will benefit the Briones PTA. Joining Lewis and her band will be local favorites and Bluegrass Artists of The Year, The Tuttles. The opening act this year is acoustic trio Snap Jackson & The Knock on Wood Players.

A Grammy-award winning singer, champion fiddler, beloved songwriter, and sought-after producer, Laurie Lewis (www.laurielewis.com) has released more than a dozen albums to great acclaim. With longtime collaborator Tom Rozum, himself a highly regarded mandolin player and singer, and an ever-evolving roster of topflight accompanying musicians, Lewis tours the U.S. and abroad every year to the great pleasure of her worldwide following. She also gives her time and talent for frequent benefit shows on behalf of the many causes and nonprofits she supports. Local performer and instructor Jack Tuttle (www.jacktuttle.com), who teaches fiddle, guitar, mandolin, and banjo at Palo Alto's venerable Gryphon Stringed Instruments, and his daughter Molly (http://www.jacktuttle.com/Molly/index.html), who attended school in Palo Alto, were crowned Bluegrass Artists of The Year.

The 7:00pm show is sponsored by the Northern California Bluegrass Society. This will be the second year that Bay Area bluegrass favorite Laurie Lewis has appeared in support of this school organization.

Briones serves about 400 students and includes the district's orthopedicaly handicapped (OH) wing. The school's PTA provides funding and materials for programs and services in art, science, math, enrichment, and literacy.
