It's Back!! The 2nd Annual Big Apple Block Party is coming to NYC June 12 & 13, and it's going to be bigger and better than last year's event! Bringing America's finest barbecue to the heart of NYC, the Big Apple Barbecue Block Party (BABBP) features mouthwatering barbecue from seven of the country's top pitmasters, live jazz and blues, scrumptious desserts, ice-cold beverages, an All-Star Barbecue Sauce Tasting, barbecue merchandise, educational seminars with leading barbecue experts, author book signings and more. Admission to the block party is free, including live music and seminars. Food, beverages and merchandise are purchased with coupons. Proceeds from the 2004 BABBP will benefit the Madison Square Park Conservancy & VH1 Save The Music Foundation. Founded by Union Square Hospitality Group, Blue Smoke and Jazz Standard, the BABBP is a not-for-profit organization which fosters and encourages a wider appreciation and understanding of barbecue - one of America's greatest culinary treasures. The BABBP was also created to strengthen the local community and bring together New York City residents and visitors from all walks of life to enjoy the quintessential American icons, barbecue and jazz and blues.
