BAMP Project, Hawaii's premier concert production company presents the 1st Annual Republik Music Festival at Kaka'ako Waterfront Park on Saturday, June 11th. Created to bring music fans together for a one day celebration, the largest concert series of the summer will feature an amazing lineup of some of the best bands in the world from all genres, from rock to hip hop to reggae and more. This yearly series will provide a variety of music genres for all fans to enjoy, but kicking off the series The Republik Music Festival will launch a reggae theme bringing together some of the biggest names all on one stage. The 2011 all star reggae line-up includes Steel Pulse, Matisyahu, Rebelution, The Dirty Heads, The Green and The Throwdowns.

Legendary Steel Pulse is the only UK reggae group to win a Grammy. In 1985 Babylon The Bandit album won the Best Reggae Album category. Their international success earned them further Grammy Nominations for their albums, Victims, Rastafari Centennial, Rage & Fury, Living Legacy and African Holocaust.

Matisyahu, a Hasidic Jewish musician from New York City resonated with fans with his one-of-a-kind voice singing reggae songs about his religious devotion. His debut album Live at Stubb's Youth featuring hit song "King Without a Crown" and 2009 album Light featuring hit song "One Day" both went Gold in the U.S.

Rebelution released their breakthrough album Courage to Grow in 2007 with hit song "Courage to Grow" peaking at #4 on the Billboard Top Reggae Albums Chart. Losing no momentum, their second album Bright Side of Life reached to #1 on the Billboard To Reggae Albums chart in 2009.

The Dirty Heads just off their tour with Sublime with Rome, return to Honolulu to perform hit songs from their hit album Any Port In a Storm featuring mega hit "Lay Me Down." Rolling Stone recently called them one of "the best new bands of 2010."

The Green debuted their self titled first album on the Billboards Top 10 Reggae Albums of 2010 and were named iTunes Best Reggae Album of 2010. After a successful island wide tour in February with Nas & Damian Marley "Distant Relatives" tour, The Green launched their own West Coast tour through Canada, Oregon, and California.

Maui's own The Throwdowns working to launch their first full length album, won Hawaii fans with hit single "Don't Slow Down" in 2010. Their new album is expected to bring a more mature sound, bigger rock anthems, and more beats.

BAMP recently announced the launch of their newest concert venue also called The Republik and is slated to open late summer.
