Christopher Miller, Associate Professor in Architecture at Judson University, will lead a discussion on the very first city plan for Elgin. The plan was prepared for the Elgin Commercial Club by Edward Bennett, an associate of Daniel Burnham who implemented the Burnham Plan for Chicago. Come learn what ideas Mr. Bennett proposed were implemented and those never completed, as well as how the plan’s concepts are still relevant today. Please register.
