Travel the globe with the 18th Street Singers as they present traditional music from around the world. From the high-energy rhythms of Bollywood, to the rich, vibrant harmonies of South Africa, to the pastoral folk tunes of the British Isles, your ears will get a whirlwind tour in only one night. Entitled Music of the People, the performance includes pieces that inspired social movements, songs passed down by way of oral tradition, and works written by composers with little or no formal training. Led by music director Ben Olinsky, this premier group of young professionals claims roots in Adams Morgan and DC's other burgeoning young neighborhoods.

Tickets: $10-$15. Visit http://musicofthepeople.eventbrite.com/
