For the first time in years, the 155th annual San Francisco Saint Patrick's Day Parade will take place on the actual day of the Irish holiday.
On March 17, 2007, San Francisco will once again celebrate hosting the oldest and largest Saint Patrick's Day Parade west of the Mississippi.
The parade starts at 11:30, at the corner of Second and Market street and will continue on to the Civic Center for a family festival. The festival will feature performances from Van Morrison's daughter, Shana Morrison, as well as Culann's Hounds, Guin and Avalon Rising. There will also be a world famous beer garden, great food, children's games and traditional Celtic vendors.
