A hands-on, techniques-based workshop. Students will learn textile techniques in metal and make samples utilizing techniques including weaving (flat and shaped), braiding, twining, plaiting, spiral braid, hairpin lace. Workshop information and details are supplied with paid workshop signup.

Arline Fisch, Professor of Art (Emerita), San Diego State University, pioneered textile techniques in metal. She authored Textile Techniques in Metal For Jewelers, Textile Artists & Sculptors: and edited Crocheted Wire Jewelry: Innovative Designs & Projects by Leading Artists. Her work is cataloged in Elegant Fantasy: The Jewelry of Arline Fisch.

Time: 10:00am to 5:00pm

Costs
- Workshop fee: $185.00 for MAASV members, $235.00 for non-members (or join MAASV and get the member’s price)
- Materials and supply fee of approximately $40.00 per student will be collected the first day of the workshop
