The Tex Pistols Band couldn't be much further from Texas, and nobody in the band is from Texas, but that doesn't stop these four Minneapolis vets of stage and studio from producing some seriously kick butt music. The group was formed as a side project in 1986 by Brian C. Peters (electric guitars, pedal steel, dobro), Dik Shopteau (bass, vocals), and Scott "Scooter" Nelson (vocals, drums, percussion). The band toured extensively throughout the Midwest until 1990. In late 2007 the band reformed with a newly acquired transplant from St. Louis, Mr. Boyd Lee (vocals, acoustic guitar).
