Denver Poets Day is a semi-annual event sponsored by poets for all the community. Denver Poets day first began in 1976 and was resurrected in 1999. Poets Day has featured poets such as Thomas Hornsbee Ferrell, Allan Ginsberg, Anne Waldman and James Ryan Morris.

This year Denver Poets Day invites all people who love words and poems and music and rhythm to come and celebrate with us. Bring a picnic, guitar and a smile and enjoy the poetry of diverse voices ranging from the academic to the heart of the street.

Featured poets include: Denver Poet Laureate Chris Ransick, members of the first place Denver Championship Slam Team, Anthony Gilbear, readers from Café Cultura, readers from Café Nuba, Wayne Gilbert, Jake York, and many others.

Featured music includes The Coyote Poets of the Universe Word Mechanix, Bela Karoli, Nicole Torres, and others.
