Widely known and respected as the KEY DJ at Detroit?s No. 1 dance shop Record Time, internationally renowned Mike Huckaby will be performing at the debut of ?TEMPO?, on January 28th at The Drake - Underground.
TEMPO is a monthly event focusing on bringing the essence of techno events to a level that harkens back to the early days of the scene with live P.A's, dj sets and artist installations. Unifying music, art and design by showcasing top international talent along with established and up and coming local talent building a foundation and re-stabilizing a scene that has a vast amount of energy, promise and focus.
Huckaby, whose career started over two decades ago, has produced quality house and techno for noted labels such as Definitive, Ferox and Cross Section - and is mostly known for his recordings on Harmonie Park as Deep Transportation.
Supported by Internationally renowned live P.A. artist and producer Coordinates, this Toronto native is known for his earlier work on Blue Recordings as Altitude and as 1/3 of techno trio Repair. Coordinates has releases on German techno label Sub-Static, Dumb Unit, Onitor and Mike Shannon?s Cynosure among others and has been remixed by the likes of Richard Davis, Gaetano Parisio and Funk D?void.
Headliners will be supported by Lionel Dunlop.
