Temple Repertory Theater: Measure for Measure July 24, 2010

Shakespeare's 'Measure for Measure' tells of a city that falls under a strict moral law when left in the hands of a temporary authority, judge Angelo. Having violated the law, a gentleman is sentence to death. His sister, a nun, tries to plead for his life, but Angelo makes one demand: he'll be spared, if she will sleep with Angelo. She refuses to give in, and the various characters engage in a series of tricks and deceptions in an attempt to save Claudio's life.
