The members of the Temple of the Evening Star are proud to announce their 8th Annual Ancestral Silent Supper event for Samhain 2006! Once again, we will be creating sacred space between the worlds. The Temple's Silent Supper has become a special and unique event in the NYC neo-pagan community.

It will be a magical ritual experience to honor and connect with our loved ones who have passed beyond the veil, and to celebrate the completion of one turn of the great Wheel of the Year and the beginning of another. There will be food, fellowship, drumming, chanting, energy raising, an oracular divination and a good time to be had for all!

We are honored and pleased to be holding the event this year at the Chapel of the Sacred Mirrors , an art gallery and spiritual center showcasing the work of Alex Gray.

Our special guest and keynote speaker will be Andras Corban Arthen. Andras is an elder and cunningman of the Glenshire witches, an elder in several other contemporary witchcraft traditions, a neo-pagan author, and one of the founders of the Earthspirit Community. He was a representative at the Parliament of World Religions in 1993, and is a major contributor overall to the American neopagan movement.

Please plan to join us for this special evening filled with magick and reverence for our ancestors and the Lady and Lord, good food, good friends, a powerful ritual and a good time! Bring a token of any loved one(s) that have passed beyond the veil to place on the Ancestral Altar.

Voluntary donations of canned pet food and used towels for the Staten Island Animal Shelter will be collected at the event.

The ticket price for this event includes a full course buffet, soft drinks, and dessert. Tickets will be available by advance reservation only. The price is $30 if reserved by October 13, and $35 after that.

The Temple of the Evening Star is an incorporated chuch in New York State and is comprised of a collection of covens of the Minoan Fellowship Tradition of Wicca. Public events run by Temple of the Evening Star are open to anyone regardless of race, creed, gender or sexual orientation.
