THE PROMISE OF NEXT GENERATION BROADBAND ACCESS

Following the European Commission’s Initiative for “Broadband for All” by 2010 and the much-anticipated Final Report on Digital Britain by Lord Stephen Carter, UK Minister for Communications, Technology and Broadcasting due to be published this summer, funding of the next generation networks has become elusive and unresolved.

The June event will centre its discussions on the technical and economic viability of next generation broadband access. Speakers include representatives from BT, Virgin Media, Easynet, broadband industry groups, FTTH Council Europe, BSG, the UK Government and the communications regulator Ofcom.

Broadband Connect Summit is one of the premier events in the Broadband technology sector, bringing together industry leaders and stakeholders to examine and discuss key issues that face the industry today.
