Tatsuya Nakatani, contemporary percussionist, will offer an hour-long workshop on extended techniques for playing drums and general musical improvisation. The workshop will include demonstration and discussion of drumhead manipulation, bowing cymbals, and the use of various implements, and will conclude with an open improv session. All instruments are welcome.
