Tobias Rehberger on Martin Kippenberger
Monday 10 April 2006
18.30?20.00

?Martin never taught in school. Whenever he came to town you?d get a phone call. Usually he would ask you to come to a restaurant. And then we would talk. Or mainly he would talk. It was great and entertaining, and it was horrible, repetitive and boring. But anyways you wouldn?t leave until 3pm. That?s because Martin had a nap then. But not before setting an appointment for later, for dinner in another restaurant.?

German artist Tobias Rehberger was a student of Martin Kippenberger's in the early 1990s. Taking place after hours in the Martin Kippenberger exhibition, Rehberger discusses Kippenberger?s work and teaching practice in the context of his own work.
