Taste Washington 2008 April 5, 2008

Hosted by the Washington Wine Commission, Taste Washington is the nation’s largest single-region wine event. Celebrating its 11th year, Taste Washington will feature a full day of education seminars on Saturday April 5th at Bell Harbor International Conference Center and the Grand Tasting on Sunday, April 6th at Qwest Field Event Center.

Seminar Highlights

* Food and Wine Pairing Lunch - Learn how to cook a great dish AND choose the perfect Washington wine to go with it. Celebrated food and wine experts Ilan Hall (winner of Top Chef Season Two), Evan Goldstein, author of, “Perfect Pairings” and Bell Harbor Executive Chef Jay Bartleson will team up to demonstrate how to prepare a 3 course gourmet luncheon on state-of-the-art Viking equipment, then choose Washington wines to compliment each dish. Helping out with the fun will be a panel of 4 Washington State Sommelier of the Year Winners!”

* A Washington Wine In the Dark - Think you know your Washington wine? Put your palate to the test with a blind tasting of the state’s top grape varieties. Guiding you along will be a panel of experts trained in both Washington State and the skill of tasting wine without a clue as to what it might be. Those brave enough to stand by their claims might just win a magnum of our finest!
