Delicious and diverse cuisines from across the globe will be available at Union City's 50th Anniversary Gathering in the Park.

Those purchasing "Taste of the World" passports are in for a special treat. Sample the following chefs' specialties from local restaurants and vote for your favorite. You'll want to pace yourself, so get an early start with donuts from Krispy Kreme.

Whet your appetite with authentic Italian bruschetta from Federico's.

Enjoy samosas courtesy of Raja Sweets, Filipino fare from Gerry's Grill, a chile verde tostada by All Around Catering, and a specialty from the Philippines by Bobby's Bamboo Grill.

Accompany them with Vietnamese vegan Rainbow Salad from Loving Hut Restaurant.

Relieve your thirst with Tapioca Express milk tea and a root beer float courtesy of Paddy's Coffee.

Top it all off by savoring Ghirardelli chocolates provided by the DECA student marketing club.

Once you have found your favorite taste, you can return for more. Taste of the World vendors will also sell food all day long.

Taste of the World passports can be purchased at the event, but only 500 will be sold so you may want to visit www.unioncity50.com to order yours in advance.

The Gathering in the Park, emceed by popular comedian Mark Pitta, will also feature entertainment ranging from hot Latin and cool blues bands to Polynesian and Indian dancers; a health fair providing free medical screenings and information; a Kid's Carnival complete with bounce house and 30 midway games; an international marketplace and information booths.
