Jeffrey Kahane, piano
Paul Katz, cello
John Feeney, double bass

The always superlative Takács Quartet has become an Ann Arbor favorite over the past decade, consistently delivering performances that live well beyond the last note played in the concert hall. In the 10/11 season, they perform a three-concert cycle devoted primarily to Franz Schubert’s late chamber works. For this final concert, they are joined by former Cleveland Quartet cellist Paul Katz for Schubert’s Cello Quintet, and by pianist Jeffrey Kahane and bass player John Feeney for the beloved “Trout” Quintet (scored for violin, viola, cello, bass, and piano).

Program
· Schubert : Piano Quintet in A Major, D. 667 (“Trout”) (1819)
