Taiwanese band Won Fu plays at Café du Nord on Oct 21 (Wed) October 21, 2009

Won Fu’s first Bay Area appearance will include a benefit concert for typhoon relief at UC Berkeley (7pm on 10/16 in the Genetics and Plant Biology Bldg, Rm 100) and a performance at Café du Nord (8pm on 10/21, 2170 Market Street, SF). Won Fu’s eclectic mix of uplifting jangle pop, with tongue-in-cheek wit and retro chic is wildly popular in Taiwan. Their music is fueled by the members’ happy-go-lucky nature and their positive mentality, fun attitude, and wacky style.
The tour is part of a cultural initiative to promote Taiwan's popular culture overseas via music, especially independent music.
