"Syracuse's Hardest-Working Blues Band, " LOS BLANCOS - Performing At River Rock Bar & Grill in Phoenix -- Saturday, April 25 April 25, 2009

– “Syracuse’s’ Hardest-Working Blues ‘n’ Zydeco Band,” Los Blancos, is nominated in three categories – “Best Independent CD,” “Blues Artist/Group of the Year,” and “Keyboardist of the Year” (Mark Nanni) – for the 5th Annual Los Angeles South Bay Music Awards, taking place Monday, April 27 at the Improv in Irvine, Calif. The quartet’s recent release JUST THIS ONCE was selected a “Top 10 Album Cover of the Year” by SoCal-based online music magazine, ROCKWIRED (www.rockwired.com/top10albumcovers), with kudos also going to local Syracuse artist (and CD cover artist), Elliot Mattice. Additionally, Los Blancos also won a 2008 SAMMY (Syracuse Area Music Award) for “Best Blues CD.”
