Sylvia Harvey’s seminal book May '68 and Film Culture articulated the evolution of radical cultural and film theory and the impact of the events of May 1968. In this talk she will reflect on her original thesis and ask is culture and film now living out the radical aspirations of 40 years ago.

Sylvia Harvey is Professor of Broadcasting Policy at the University of Lincoln where she is Co-Director of the Centre for Media Policy, Regulation and Ethics (CEMPRE). She has published widely on the subject of film and broadcasting policy.
