Presentation:
SAP is arguably one of the leaders in the creation of enterprise on premise software to run large enterprises globally.

Maintaining this distinction requires that all aspects of the SAP value chain work in concert. The competition to introduce new products into this process engine is intense, but things get real interesting when you also try to introduce a new business model/product as well -- software as a service.

This session will discuss factors considered and lessons learnt as SAP introduces SaaS in its portfolio.

Mike will share real examples about the innovative approaches that were taken regarding people, products and processes used to bring a "market redefining" software as a service applications to SAP customers. Mike's experiences will be relevant to large and mid-size companies of all types trying to innovate outside the core.
