New energy solutions are being discovered and refined to overcome the budget constraints of high oil prices and mitigate the environmental impacts of carbon waste. Something that does not get a lot of headlines is utilizing existing consumer waste and transforming it into energy. We want to highlight its significance internationally, and potentially discuss why it is an under-utilized resource in the United States.
Our panel discussion will include topics addressing:

* Emerging trends in this industry, staying away from biofuels and focusing more on consumer and carbon waste
* Technology needs and promise in sorting, conversion, and transformation of waste into energy and fuel needs
* Product cycle issues including Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), producer responsibilities, and zero waste trends
