Karan Mehandru, Senior Associate, Scale Venture Partners
Karan Mehandru focuses on opportunities in enterprise software and systems, semiconductors, consumer electronics and next generation datacenter infrastructure technologies including storage networking, virtualization and cloud computing.

At Scale Venture Partners, Karan works closely with NComputing, Discera and Siimpel. He is also an active member of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Silicon Valley.
Prior to ScaleVP, Karan was a Strategic Sales Account Manager at Synopsys. He was instrumental in closing more than $40 Million in strategic and territorial design wins during 2006 and 2007 and directed the sales effort for Synopsys’ software suite, IP and professional services. He also led marketing, applications and sales efforts for his team's top accounts and worked closely with the company's strategic customers and product management teams on the development of new products.

Before Synopsys, Karan was an implementation manager with a focus on the fabless semiconductor market for PMC-Sierra in Vancouver, Canada. During his five years with PMC-Sierra, he led and managed design implementation of large scale ASICs targeted for the telecommunications, enterprise storage and networking markets.

Karan graduated from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada with an Honors Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree with high distinction. He also holds a Master's degree in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University, with a specialization in Technology and Entrepreneurship.
