The Panel:

Bill Reichert - Managing Director at Garage. Bill Reichert has over 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur and an operating executive. Since joining Garage in 1998, Bill has focused on early-stage information technology and materials science companies. He sits on the Boards of CaseStack, WhiteHat, ClearFuels, cFares, and ThermoCeramix. Prior to Garage, Bill was a co-founder or senior executive in several venture-backed technology startups, including Trademark Software, The Learning Company, and Academic Systems. Earlier in his career, he worked at McKinsey & Company, Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., and the World Bank. Bill earned a B.A. at Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Stanford University. He was a founding board member and a Chairman of the Churchill Club, and a Charter Member of the Silicon Valley Association of Startup Entrepreneurs. Currently he is the Chairman of the Small Fund Roundtable of the VC Taskforce and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations in New York.

Ullas Naik - Managing Director at Globespan. Ullas is a Managing Director based in Globespan Capital Partners' Palo Alto office. He leads Globespan's Cleantech investment practice and also focuses on investments in Internet/Enterprise Infrastructure companies. Ullas is passionate about identifying future technology trends and partnering with entrepreneurs to build significant sustainable value within those trends. His experience as an entrepreneur and as an investor has taught him that working with strong teams and adapting intelligently to change is the only way to create and sustain long term business value. Ullas serves on the boards of CaliSolar, Certeon, Nantero, Optaros, Solar Power Partners and ZeaChem. He is an observer on the the boards of Copan Systems, Coskata and GlassHouse Technologies. Previously, he led Globespan's investments in Advent Solar (acquired by Applied Materials), BladeLogic (NASDAQ:BLOG; acquired by BMC Software for $800M), Millennial Net (acquired by Festo), Pirus Networks (acquired by Sun Microsystems) and Revivio (acquired by Symantec Corp).

Prior to Globespan, Ullas served as Managing Director of JAFCO Ventures in the Boston office. Before that, he served as a Senior Vice President in the Technology Research Group at First Albany, where he was named a "Wall Street All-Star" by Fortune Magazine and recognized by The Wall Street Journal as one of the top technology analysts in the country.

Ullas earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Bombay University in India and an MBA from Bentley College. Ullas lives in Palo Alto with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys reading, exercising, traveling, and spending time with his family.
