Greylock Partners
Greylock was founded in 1965 by Bill Elfers and Dan Gregory, joined shortly thereafter by Charlie Waite. Over the ensuing 41 years, Greylock has raised a series of partnerships, with current committed capital in excess of $2 billion, and helped build over 300 growth companies.

Greylock Partners is organized in a series of twelve limited partnerships begun in 1965, 1973, 1979, 1983, 1985, 1987, 1990, 1994, 1997, 2000, 2001 and 2005. In 2006, Greylock launched Greylock Israel, a separate fund dedicated to Israel. Committed capital across the Greylock partnerships exceeds $2 billion.

Greylock's strategy is to partner with management in building companies that have the potential to become industry leaders. We prefer to build around an outstanding entrepreneurial leader or team with a powerful technology and market vision. We tend to focus on capital-efficient businesses where high barriers to entry can be constructed, and we work closely with the start-up team to build the organization.

Asheem Chandna
Asheem joined Greylock in 2003. His areas of interest include enterprise infrastructure, mobile, networking and security.

Prior to joining Greylock, Asheem spent over fifteen years in industry operating roles helping create, grow and lead multiple technology businesses and product lines to market leadership positions. Most recently, Asheem was vice-president of business development and product management with Check Point Software Technologies. During his 6.5 year tenure, Check Point became one of the world's fastest growing and most profitable companies. Asheem founded the business development and product management organizations, led corporate marketing during high growth years, and directed Check Point's product/business strategy, product management and industry partnerships. Asheem is also credited with creating, growing and leading Check Point's OPSEC Alliance into the largest and most successful security partner program in the IT industry. Prior to Check Point, Asheem was vice-president of marketing with CoroNet Systems (a venture-backed startup acquired by Compuware), where he helped create and define a new product category for application-aware network monitoring. Previously, Asheem held strategic marketing and product line positions with SynOptics/Bay Networks and AT&T Bell Laboratories

Asheem represents Greylock on the board of directors at Imperva, Palo Alto Networks, PortAuthority Technologies, Securent and Xsigo Systems. He is also on the board of directors at Sourcefire. He was previously on the boards at CipherTrust (Secure Computing) and NetBoost (Intel).
