In today's fast-paced world, there are numerous companies with revolutionary approaches and out-of-the-blue ideas. We believe strongly that innovation is the key element that separates the leaders from the followers. A culture dedicated to innovation ignites the ideas that create new markets and disrupt old ones.

And it's often the fresh or contrarian approach that allows entrepreneurs to outpace entrenched companies.

But it's not simply a new product or idea that sets companies up to triumph. Over the years, we've learned that it's the fresh eyes, clever approaches, nconventional thinking, ruthless execution, and unstoppable will to win that spark, sustain, and strengthen innovation and help build great companies. In Albert Einstein's own words: "You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else." That's an area where we can help.

Our team cultivates long-term creativity and innovation - in all of their facets - in the people and culture of the companies we work with every day. And by leveraging our team, our network of resources, contacts and depth of experience, we can make a critical difference for you, while nurturing the seed of innovation from which everything grows.

I have spent the last decade working closely with early stage technology companies and thrive on working with entrepreneurs to evangelize new markets and to
challenge incumbents with disruptive technologies. For the past six years I have had the opportunity to work in the venture capital industry with a focus on the mobile and enterprise applications and infrastructure sectors. My recent investments and board seats include AdInfuse, Atto Devices, Fultec, Innotas and ONStor and I am actively involved with Caymas, MonoSphere, OpSource, Sonopia and Vyatta.

Prior to joining ComVentures, I was a principal with Worldview Technology Partners, where I focused on the enterprise software and data center infrastructure
markets. I served on the Boards of FineGround Networks (acquired by Cisco) and LogLogic, and worked closely with portfolio companies including Azul Systems, BitPass, Cemaphore, Collation (acquired by IBM), IntruVert Networks (acquired by McAfee), Mirapoint, nSite and 3PAR.

My initial exposure to the venture capital industry took place when I had the good fortune of serving as Director of Business Development for Scient, an Internet consulting firm that helped pioneer the first wave of the internet, where I had an opportunity to work with some of the finest talent in the consulting industry. While at Scient, I helped launch and manage Scient Capital, our corporate venture arm, where we invested alongside the VC community in some of the promising startups we were helping build, most notably Hotwire (acquired by IAC).

Following Scient, I helped co-found Morgan Stanley Technology Ventures, a corporate venture arm inside of Morgan Stanley. I focused on investments in the data center infrastructure and storage markets and made my first successful investment in an intelligent storage networking pioneer called Rhapsody Networks (acquired by Brocade). This was a return for me to Morgan Stanley as I started my career in investment banking with Morgan Stanley's global technology group in Menlo Park, Boston and New York.

I was born in New Orleans, but grew up in the Bay Area and will always have a soft spot for Apple, the pride of my hometown Cupertino. I went to college at Harvard where I graduated summa cum laude with an Economics degree and enjoyed playing water polo and picked up a little lacrosse. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and taking advantage of any opportunity we have to take our yellow lab out to Half Moon Bay or up to Tahoe. I am also a rabid A's, Sharks, Raiders and Saints fan and maintain a venture capitalist's optimism that each will someday rediscover the path to glory.
