COM Ventures

Whether you are two people with an idea... a company looking to grow into a new area... or an enterprise looking for fresh approaches, we're interested. At ComVentures, we cultivate creativity and innovation.

Good companies are the result of deep passion, lots of work, and a healthy dose of luck. Being there first matters. Being there second - and being better - matters. And sometimes being there at all matters. We think and act like entrepreneurs. We believe the combination of a clever idea and a strong will to win can make a great company. Our innovators all have a unique approach and a relentless zeal to bring their distinctive ideas to life. We'll work closely with you every step of the way, while you build your company. Your dream becomes our passion.

Not all companies or ideas require the same level of resources. We invest in companies at different stages and take a custom view of each needs. Whether you're two people with an idea, an established company looking to grow into a new area, or an enterprise looking for fresh approaches - we'd like to talk with you. We participate in all stages of bringing unique concepts to market and building significant value.

Our entrepreneurs either innovate in new markets or disrupt older markets to gain a disproportionate share, and many of our companies compete and serve customers on a global level. Currently, we primarily focus on the U.S., India, Israel, and China as the core geographies for our investments. As the world gets increasingly more flat, we help leverage global resources to maximize our companies' success and returns. We'll participate in nearly every global market that promises a high rate of return for our investments.

We're a team of individuals with completely diverse backgrounds. We have partners who have helped build the very infrastructure and services companies that power today's Internet. And many of us have been successful media, Internet and software entrepreneurs. Just as we've helped drive some pioneering concepts to success, we've also seen some great ideas fail.

The ComVentures team has a wide range of experience. We're efficient and passionate about the companies and entrepreneurs we work with, and we all want to participate in building the future. We're a resource for our entrepreneurs, and we help bridge gaps: we work with engineers to help them understand financials, and we work with marketers to help them build engineering innovation.

Baris Karadogan

If the purpose of life is to "find something more important than you and devote your life to it," then for me it's striving to change the world through creativity and innovation. All the companies I've worked with in the past, Redline (LSE: REDL), Aspendos, Podtech, Ciphertrust (Acquired by Secure Computing NASDAQ: SCUR) and all the companies I am involved with now, Nanocast, Like.com, Yonja.com, Spectralinear and Exalt, have the passion to make a mark in the world in the same way.

But passion alone is not enough. Good teams know when to ask themselves the tough business questions in a dispassionate way. If they don't, it is our duty to do so. We all need our view of the world challenged; better by a trusted partner then by our competition. Every one of us at ComVentures is committed to bring creativity and fresh ideas in support of our portfolio companies, not just the ones we are directly involved in. This is what we do best.

I spend most of my time in the consumer internet services and infrastructure spaces. I believe there is a lot of opportunity in terms of what the Internet can do to our lives. We are just scratching the surface. If you are an entrepreneur who is dissatisfied with how the world is today, and has an idea to improve it (and make lots money in the process), let's talk. I would like to help you. I can't promise an investment, but I can promise that I'll youÕll be treated with the respect you deserve and receive helpful feedback.
