Brian Gentile, Exec VP and CMO, Informatica Corporation

Matching the most appropriate type of marketing skill, focus and discipline to the needs and phase of any company (young or old) can make the difference between success, mediocrity, and failure. A marketing team has three primary responsibilities in helping the company to succeed: fostering productive innovation, enabling sustained growth, and generating an aura of market leadership. To succeed in these three responsibilities, the right marketing skill, focus and discipline must be applied at the right time and using the right methods.
Drawing from his experience in helping to build young, mid-sized, and very large technology companies, Brian Gentile, Executive VP and CMO, Informatica Corporation, will discuss the marketing methods and approaches used most successfully at various phases.

The talk and Q&A will cover the following marketing issues:

1. How to foster product innovation?

2. How to create market awareness? What strategies make sense?

3. How to create aura of market leadership?

4. Skills of marketing people & strategies required at various stages of the company’s evolution

5. Is outsourcing of marketing a viable strategy?
