Japanese power trio Boris have just released Pink, their mega-amped but most "accessible" slab of fiercely psychedelic fuzz to date. (Showing their lineage, the band's name was taken from a track by sludge-rock pioneers Melvins.) Fellow travelers of the shadow world, SunnO))) enjoy a rabid cult following that worships the band's trance-inducing, ultra-low-end doom-metal excursions to the outer reaches.
