Taking the extended guitar drones of Earth as their starting point, sunn0))) combine dark ambient and doom metal with extended durations and extreme voume to produce initimablly intense and affecting music. They're renowned for performing in hooded robes, surrounded by candles and admidst thick smoke, entire concerts often comprising of a single song.
