All SD61ers, election day, November 4th, is only TWO days away. The focus of our doorknocks is getting neighbors and friends geared up to get out to the polls. Last election SD61 had only a 28% voter turnout. For Barack to win we need to at least double that, and I know with an inspirational leader like Barack, we can! FYI, door knocking and face to face contact has been shown to be the best way of getting the vote out. An experiment in Virginia showed that phone calling increased voter turnout by only 1.5% points, while face to face contact increased the turn out by 12% points. So your time and energy are much appreciated and absolutely vital to our successes at the only poll that matters; the election.
