Brace yourself for tonight's explosion of unholy rumbles from three of the Midwest’s most exciting and inventive noise outfits. Headlining tonight's exercise in heaviness are local purveyors of ringing ears SUN SPLITTER. Their latest release is a limited edition cassette on Land of Decay, Sun Splitter II - featuring the artwork of TERENCE HANNUM, the cassette, like their live show, must be heard turned up to 11. Milwaukee based sludge-metalers NORTHLESS are overwhelmingly heavy, in the words of NPR, “a woolly mammoth in search of its humpback whale.” Their latest, Clandestine Abuse hit last month via Halo of Flies. Locals OYARSA list their influences as “Space. Destruction. Infinity. Doom. Beer.” We agree.
