This walk through Gamble Garden will focus on identifying sun-loving plants, both woody and herbaceous. Their cultural requirements, nomenclature, structure, visual characteristics, aroma, texture, and uses in garden design will be covered in detail.

You will see them at different stages of maturity and learn how the treatment of a plant can achieve different results. This "walk and talk" class will be held entirely outside in Gamble's gardens. This class is limited to 15 participants so everyone may benefit from Frank's expertise.

Frank Niccoli is a gardener, a horticultural educator, and a pioneer in the use of organic and sustainable gardening methods. He is the owner of The Village Gardener, past president and founder of the local chapter of The California Landscape Contractors Association, and on the faculty of the Ornamental Horticultural Program at Foothill College. Frank recently received the prestigious Silicon Valley Water Conservation 'Water Champion' Award.
