Summer Solstice Festival June 13, 2010

This is the first of our four summer arts festivals. We feature the best of Southern California’s folk music scene and storytellers including folk bands gypsy greats, Fishtank Ensemble; British Isles folk favorite, When Pigs Fly; French/Chinese folk sensation Jessica Fichot Band; and Live OC magazine’s Best Folk Band winner, Sligo Rags. We also feature storytelling groups from Long Beach, West Los Angeles, and Orange County, along with tellers Leslie Perry, Michael McCarty and Linda King Pruitt. This free festival is open to everyone. The day’s festivities includes a children’s area with free art workshops, a children’s stage, an arts & crafts faire, house and gallery tours, a lawn sports tournament, picnicking, food vendors, a story swap area, a jam session area, in addition to the continuous stage performances at our outdoor amphitheatre.
