Summer Shakespeare Camps - San Francisco April 18, 2008

Campers will be introduced to three key facets of drama and theater:
* Discovering Shakespeare introduces students to the beauty, versatility and meaning of Shakespeare's language and work on a shortened version of a Shakespeare play.
* Voice and Movement challenges students to learn to use the power of their voices and bodies through theater games, vocal projection techniques, and improvisation skills.
* Production and Design teaches students the basics of the technical side of theater including costuming, props, and set design. A performance is held the last day of camp.

The camps are appropriate for youth who are new to drama as well as more experienced young actors. Teaching artists are well-trained adults, many with college degrees in the theater arts and acting experience.

San Francisco camp dates and locations for youth ages 7-13 are:
* June 16-27 at Drew School
* June 16-27 at St. Anne of the Sunset
* July 7-18 at San Francisco School
* July 7-18 at Brandeis Hillel School
* July 21-August 1 at Bay School of San Francisco
* July 21-August 1 at Brandeis Hillel School
* August 4-15 at Drew School
* August 4-15 at Brandeis Hillel School

One camp for teens ages 12-18 will be held July 7-18, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., at Bay School of San Francisco, 35 Keyes Avenue in the Presidio.
