The Summer Journalism Institute for High School Students is a two-week program that provides students with basic journalistic techniques and approaches to produce journalism in a variety of formats. Learn to channel your interests in news, storytelling and communicating with words, pictures, and/or sound. Move beyond traditional methods of communicating news and explore the formats of blogs, text messages, microblogs, and mobile devices to take and edit pictures, shoot and edit video.
High school students entering grades 10, 11 or 12 (during 2010-2011 academic school year) may apply to participate in the program until June 15, 2010.
Visit the Journalism Institute webpage for program details, how to apply, and prices.
